Mangalore: In yet another haul, the officers of customs at Mangalore International Airport on Monday seized gold weighing 272.900 grams valued at Rs 8 lac.
The gold was seized from the passenger identified as Mohammed Jabir Baikkara (23), a resident of Thekkil, Kasargod.
The gold, concealed in the form of foil strips in a carton, was brought as checked-in baggage by Jabir. The seized gold is valued at Rs 8,02,326.
