In the service conditions however, the airline said "only flying hours logged on 9W (Jet Airways) aircraft shall be counted for the purpose of pilot movement with 9W for career progression," which means hours clocked on operating JetLite flights will not be counted.

This means my junior in Jet will automatically be promoted much before me," he said. The issues point at the various complexities Jet will face in trying to turn around, integrate or shut down JetLite which has been bleeding the airline dry since it was acquired in 2007. Jet recently said that it will do away with the JetLite brand and its other low fare Jet Konnect brand and operate only as Jet Airways. But JetLite still has a separate balance sheet, a different AOP and a flying licence.
