3 kg gold recovered from passenger at Hyderabad airport

Hyderabad: Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized 3 kg of gold worth Rs 79 lakh from a passenger at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) here.

Based on specific information, the DRI officers intercepted a passenger, who had come from Bengaluru here by a Jet Airways flight last evening. After a search, he was found carrying 30 gold bars (each weighing 100 grams), DRI (Hyderabad Zonal Unit) Additional Director General M K Singh said today.
