According to sources, Srikakulam has lost its sheen for the last few months as high-net worth individuals preferred to put their investments in Bhogapuram region as they strongly believe that it would turn as a major commercial centre in future.
A square yard of land costs between Rs.5, 500 to Rs.7, 000 in and around Bhogapuram. Realtors anticipate further appreciation but industry watchers say huge growth may not be like what was witnessed at Shamshabad international airport.
The Stamps and Registration Department was forced to cut its estimation for Srikakulam district while enhancing projections for Vizianagaram district, thanks to proposed Bhogapuram airport in Vizianagaram district.
Bhogapuram is located on National Highway between Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam but comes under the administrative jurisdiction of Vizianagaram district.
