No change in stand on closing HAL Airport for commercial operations: HC told

There is no change in the decision about closure of the HAL Airport for commercial operations following opening of a greenfield airport at Devanahalli, set up under the public-private partnership model, the Union government told the High Court of Karnataka on Thursday.
Additional Solicitor General of India (High Court of Karnataka) Prabhuling K. Navadgi made submission in this regard before a Division Bench comprising acting Chief Justice Subhro Kamal Mukherjee and Justice B.V. Nagarathna during the hearing of public interest litigation petition filed by the Airports Authority of India Employees’ Union.
