TCS to vacate one floor at Mumbai’s Air India building

Mumbai: The country’s largest software services exporter, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which occupies two floors at Nariman Point’s Air India building, is set to vacate one floor. TCS, however, will keep the other floor it has leased in the building.
Senior Air India official told FE that TCS will vacate a floor, but would keep the other.  The official, however, didn’t elaborate on the reason and timeframe when the IT services exporter will vacate the floor.
When contacted, the concerned TCS spokesperson was not available for comment.
At present, occupants in the building include the service tax department (three floors), income tax department (seven floors), Tata Consultancy Services, State Bank of India (four floors), apart from Mahila Bank, which is located on the sea-facing side of the ground floor. Air India has kept two floors, including board rooms, for its staff.
