Visakhapatnam: HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that compensation to the farmers, who ceded their lands for the Bhogapuram International Airport, will be decided after discussions with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu Monday. The Chief Minister is arriving in Visakhapatnam Monday to participate in various programmes.
Ganta Srinivasa Rao along with Rural Development minister K Mrunalini convened a review meeting on the status of the works related to the Bhogapuram airport Sunday.
On the occasion, Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that there were several categories of lands which were being acquired by the government for the airport.
The government had decided to allot 5,300 acres of land for the airport, of which 1,600 acres belong to government and D.Patta land and the rest is of private parties.
