Kannur: CPI(M)'s former Kerala unit secretary and polit bureau member Pinarayi Vijayan today alleged the UDF government was trying to inaugurate the Kannur Airport before completion of workon the runway and this would be seen as a serious anomaly. He demanded that the runway of should be 4000 metres and the government must take necessary steps to extend it from the existing 3400 meters. talking to newspersons here. Mr Vijayan alleged the UDF government wanted to inaugurate the airport in December this year by constructing only a 2400 meters of the runway.
